About Thomas
Thomas McMahon is co-founder and Managing Partner of Happy Scaling, an advisory firm for founder-led DTC brands and the B2B companies that serve them. He leads the firm’s vision, brand, and business development.
Before Happy Scaling, Thomas spent a decade at ClickBank, one of the largest and oldest affiliate platforms on the web. He started as a Business Development Manager and became the top producer on the team, with nearly all of the platform’s new business running through his portfolio. As Director of Business Development, he built and trained the team that went on to break his sales records.
He was also one of the public faces of ClickBank. He hosted more than 200 episodes of the Affiliated podcast, appeared on the company’s YouTube channel, and spoke on stages and at masterminds from Bangkok to Dubai.
Today he advises founders on affiliate programs, partnerships, and business development, and on the operational work that has to happen before more traffic will help. His view is that most brands are earning exactly the traffic they deserve, and the fix is usually in operations, not ad spend.
Thomas is based in Boise, Idaho, where he plays in a golf league with Dom.
